Course Description: This year long course is designed to prepare students for the Government EOC exam which will be offered upon the completion of the course. Students will delve into the specified CLEs to gain a greater understanding of government. Quizzes, tests, and other forms of assessment will be used to determine proficiency. The areas of study listed below will be the focus of the course.

The following items are needed EVERYDAY for success:
A. Composition Notebook
B. Folder for class work
C. Something to write with
D. Textbook- Civics Today
E. Google Drive

LATE WORK— Assignments: Assignments will be posted on the chalkboard daily and are due when specified. Projects that are turned in late without prior approval due to illness or an emergency will have 1 full letter grade deducted for each day late (no credit after one month).
MAKE-UP WORK AND TESTS—Anytime you are gone with an EXCUSED ABSENCE you have one month to submit the material from when you return from your absence. If you don’t make up the work or take the test within that time period, you will receive a zero.

- Respect everyone’s right to learn
- Ask for help when you need it. I am available to students after school by appointment.
- Raise your hands to be acknowledged; don’t interrupt others who are speaking.
- No obscene language, fighting, harassment, or other improper conduct.
- Be in your seat when the bell rings at the start and the end of each class.
- No grooming during class period
- Students must sign internet policy
- No eating in class.
- No cell phones
